Posted in General by Gayanath
We are pleased to announce that orangehrm-2.5-upgrader-alpha.1 was released and available for download at Source Forge. This is an alpha release and hasn’t been gone through QA testing. Make sure you read and understand upgrade instructions properly before proceeding.
Upgrader has facilitated troubleshooting and has been designed in a way that it doesn’t make any change to your existing OrangeHRM installation. Read more at upgrade instructions and let us know your upgrade experience.

After upgrade, my admin privileges are no longer available and I can’t access admin protected areas.

Hi Usman,
Please report this as a bug as instructed in upgrade instructions. This issue is already noted and will be addressed in next upgrader release.

I found couple of issues:-
1) Upgrader was not able to find Conf.php (from old installation).
See how i fixed it: http://www.orangehrm.com/blog/2009/10/09/upgrading-from-242-to-25/#comment-2035
2) As Usman said, upgrade is stuck while importing data into new database.
