HR Admin Defines Leave Carry Forward Rules
Description
- HR Admin should be able to define leave carry forward rules.
Acceptance Test Cases
- HR Admin can define the whether carry forward is allowed for each leave type. That is whether it is "allowed" or "use of lose" type of leave.
- If carry forward is allowed, it is possible to define the maximum duration (days or hours) of leave allowed to be carried forward.
Employee Requests to Carry Forward Leave
Description
- Employee should be able to request to carry forward leave.
Acceptance Test Cases
- Employee can make a request to carry forward remaining leave of selected leave types to the next leave period.
- Employee can only select leave types that allow carrying forward leave and where employee has leave to carry forward.
Supervisor/HR Admin Approves Leave Carry Forward
Description
- Supervisor/HR Admin should be able to approve or reject a request to carry forward leave to next
Acceptance Test Cases
- HR Admin can define whether it is required to have the approval of Supervisor or HR Admin to carry forward leave.
- If approval is needed, an automatic emails is generated to the supervisor with the details of the request.
- The email contains:
- Employee's name
- For each leave type:
- Leave Type
- Amount of leave not taken.
- The amount of leave allowed to carry forward. (this should be <= maximum leave allowed to carry forward).
Carrying forward leave
Description
- Leave should be carried forward to the next leave period.
Acceptance Test Cases
- If approval is needed, leave is carried forward to the next leave period when HR Admin/Supervisor approves leave.
- If approval is not needed, leave is not carried forward to the next leave period when the employee makes the request.
- The carried forward leave can be viewed on the employee's leave summary for the next leave period.
- The carried forwarded leave gets added to the leave already available for the next leave period.
