How to practice productive Remote Working and why it’s a better choice?

By Dasni Mar 16, 2020

The coronavirus is sweeping across the world and the number of cases is just increasing. Some businesses are in lockdown while others continue to run. Corporates across the world have advised employees to work remotely to reduce the spread of the virus. For some employees, it may not even be an option, since the distance and the risk of traveling to  office are high. However, this is not an issue as many modern organizations have adapted to automated time attendance systems. Now remotely working employees can punch in from home, update timesheets and submit reports to their supervisors.

While the lack of interaction from remote working can be frustrating, this is why working from home can be safe and more productive.

  • You’re reducing the chances of the virus being spread and being socially responsible

  • No water cooler breaks, coffee breaks, toilet breaks, and lunch breaks. This means fewer distractions and more time for productive work.

  • Staying home and working helps reduce fear, and anxiety about catching a flue and consecutively improve focus rather than if you had to work at the Office.

In spite of the fact that remote working could be the safest, most of us are still are discovering that it is not as easy as we thought. It requires a whole level of focus and concentration to adhere to the set time.

How can you practice productive working from home during a crisis?

  • Set your own time schedule and update your timesheets. Time tracking software helps to manage the time between projects effectively. You can submit your timesheet to your manager by the end of the day.

  • Take breaks in between while working. Finish up any pending chores at home to spice up your productivity as you take eyes off the screen.

  • Create a home working space where you can work without interruption.

  • Schedule a team meeting every day with your co-workers and run through each other’s deliverables.

Now go ahead and give Work From Home a fresh new start and meet your goals!
