Federal Minimum Wage

The lowest wage per hour that a worker may be paid in accordance with Federal Law is known as the federal minimum wage. The federal minimum wage published by the Department of Labor can be checked here. While some states have the minimum wage set above the federal standard, several other states no longer follow the minimum wage or have a minimum wage under $7.25 per hour.

With the help of an HRIS , HR departments can easily create pay policies that are in line with different minimum wage standards across states or even countries. This information then gets computed into the company payroll  so HR team members don’t have to spend hours manually calculating the wages of their employees and correcting errors.
