Military Leave from Work

Military Leave is a leave type that is granted for armed services in the United States and any full-time federal civilian employee is entitled to this. Military leave is granted on prior notice which is normally a written request. This leave may range from a few days to weeks based on the employer and is normally unpaid. Federal military leave policy does not require employers to pay staff on military leave. The staff member will receive no benefits as well.

An HR software with leave management capabilities allows the creation of leave types such as military leave for work along with its own pay policies. This provides the ability for HR departments to easily track and manage multiple leave types of employees.
