Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

HRMS is another term for a comprehensive HR software or a comprehensive HR information systems <link HRIS topic here> that computerizes and automates human resource (HR) activities of an organization. The majority, if not all, of an HR department's business logic is hosted and provided by a combination of hardware and software resources by a human resources management system.

An HRMS usually provides features such as HR administration, employee management, reporting and analytics, recruitment (ATS), onboarding, performance management, time tracking, training, PTO management, payroll management, career development, HR request desk management, travel and expense management and more. It is usually set up to run either on the organization’s own servers or, on the cloud and helps organizations in improving the efficiency of its HR processes, save time, reduce unwated administrative and overhead costs, and provide a secure and cetralized information management platform to name a few.
